Eastman's Originals Digitization Project

The Eastman's Originals Collection is a collection of photographic negatives and prints created by four master photographers-John Riesen, P.J. "Jack" Thompson, Jervie Henry Eastman and Mirl Simmons. The collection includes studio portraits, landscape views and a large number of images intended for postcard use. This collection is part of the Shields Library Special Collections.

The Eastman's Originals Digitization Project is now available on the Internet. This makes the images universally accessible and preserves the originals because they are handled less often. The program will make images accessible to a large audience including UC students, faculty, and staff as well as researchers, teachers, and other interested people world-wide.
